Awards

La SAM otorgará durante el 16º Congreso Internacional de Metalurgia y Materiales diversos Premios a los trabajos presentados en el campo de la investigación y el desarrollo en materiales, estos son:

• PREMIO JORGE SABATO “Mejor trabajo de desarrollo tecnológico en materiales”

• PREMIO JORGE KITTL “Mejor trabajo de investigación en Ciencia de Materiales”

The award consists on a Diploma and the publication of the paper in the SAM JOURNAL.

• PREMIO JOSÉ GALVELE “Mejor trabajo de investigación en degradación de materiales”

The award consists on a Diploma and the publication of the paper in the SAM JOURNAL.

• PREMIO ESTÍMULO A JÓVENES ESTUDIANTES DE POSGRADO “Mejor trabajo presentado por estudiantesstudents”

• INCENTIVE AWARD TO YOUNG UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS “ Best paper submitted by undergraduate students”

• BEST MICROGRAPH

The award consists on a Diploma and the publication of the micrograph sample in the SAM JOURNAL.

CONDITIONS TO APPLY

• Condiciones particulares:

INCENTIVE AWARD TO YOUNG GRADUATE STUDENTS: el autor principal debe ser un

estudiante de posgrado. La Tesis deberá haber sido realizada total o parcialmente en el país o en

Latinoamérica y presentada en cualquier Universidad Argentina, en el bienio previo al Congreso

SAM-CONAMET 2016. La fecha de defensa de la Tesis debe ser claramente indicada en la nota de

postulación. Los postulantes no deben ser mayores de 30 años al momento de presentar la Tesis a la

INCENTIVE AWARD TO YOUNG UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS: el autor principal debe ser un estudiante de grado. Los

trabajos deberán haber sido realizados total o parcialmente en el país. Los postulantes no deben ser

Candidates must not be older than 24 years when submitting the full paper.

BEST MICROGRAPH AWARD: Podrán postularse micrografías obtenidas por cualquiera de las

técnicas TEM, SEM, SPM, APT, APFIM, confocal, óptico, etc. La micrografía presentada al concurso

debe pertenecer a alguna de las contribuciones al Congreso. Los autores deberán adjuntar a la nota

de postulación un texto explicativo que resalte el valor de la/las micrografías presentadas y que

pertenezcan a un trabajo presentado en el Congreso, y, de considerarlo pertinente, adjuntar

high-resolution digital versions.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Los trabajos a considerar son aquellos postulados, dentro de la fecha establecida para su entrega y haber sido aceptados para su presentación en el Congreso.
• Tienen que ser presentados por uno de los autores oralmente durante el Congreso.
• Los autores no necesitan ser Socios de la SAM.
• Research must be made in Latin America.

IMPORTANT DATES

• Sending the nomination note and the full paper: From june 15 to july 31, 2016.
• Publication of the evaluators names by category: August 1, 2016.
• Communication of acceptance: September 15, 2016
• Winner/s of each award: During the congress.
• Awards: During the closing ceremony of the congress.

DOCUMENTATION TO BE SENT

La nota de Postulación conjuntamente con el trabajo completo deberán ser escaneados, comprimidos y compilados en un solo archivo denominado “ApellidoNombre.rar” y enviarse por mail apremios.samconamet2016@gmail.com poniendo en el asunto “Código Premio – ApellidoNombre”, por ejemplo: JS-PerezJuan. No enviar los archivos por separado.
